This past weekend our chapter had the opportunity to send 6 executive officers and 2 rising leaders up to Chicago for SigEp’s Carlson Leadership Academy (CLA).  CLA is an annual SigEp event that brings together hundreds of brothers from chapters around the nation.  Here our executive officers attended engaging, position-specific workshops with other brothers holding the same office.  We learned skills relevant to our positions, ways to overcome challenges we may face, and new resources that are available to us.  Furthermore, we put together an action plan for implementing everything that they we’ve learned at CLA back to our chapter.  At the same time, our rising leaders were able to attend workshops that teach them important leadership skills and prepare them to successfully lead our chapter in the future.  Overall we had an awesome experience that taught us invaluable leadership skills, techniques, and how to  apply them back to our chapter.
