SigEp as an organization places high emphasis on the importance in branching out and getting involved in your campus and community. One of the best ways to get involved on campus in an impactful way is by running for student government.
Our current Vice President of Programming, Jacob Graham, has just finished his term as Student Body President here at SIUE and is returning to student government as Student Trustee.
As Student Body President, Jacob says that SigEp helped him by providing support for his campaigns as well as developing his leadership skills both before and during his term. As Student Trustee, Jacob plans to represent students, faculty, and staff on the Board of Trustees while advocating for the advancement of the SIU system as a whole.
Ricky Beck is a relatively new SigEp, having joined this past fall, but has already shown great interest in leadership both in and out of the chapter. He currently serves the chapter as the Sigma Coordinator and has been educating the spring class about SigEp, and what it means to represent this fraternity as a true balanced man. He has now entered campus leadership by representing the School of Business as a Senator.
In his position he wants to encourage students to take advantage of all the opportunities SIUE has to offer such as: prepping for interviews, developing communication skills, and landing that dream job. Ricky also is intent on ensuring open communication between himself and his constituents in the school of business to most adequately represent their needs.
